With its wide beam and generous cockpit, the Coastal is popular with boaters who want to combine both fishing and cruising. Built on a solid fiberglass, deep-V hull, the midcabin interior of the 290 is arranged with a convertible dinette/V-berth forward, a campact galley and head, and a midcabin lounge that converts into a double berth. On deck, the elevated bridge deck is fitted with a baitwell and rackle storage as well as a double-wide helm seat and a companion seat to port. Two insulatedf fish boxes are located in the cockpit. Additional features include cockpit bolsters, transom door, wide sidedecks, bow pulpit, and a large in-deck storage box.
